Through the investment of US$500,000 or Bt15 million completed on Feb 21, the company is expanding into as KK Power is a developer of power plants in the country.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Ratch CEO Noppol Milinthanggoon said that the investment was made following a thorough study and risk factor evaluation, to ensure that it is worthwhile and will generate a reasonable return on investment. The company foresees ample investment opportunities in the neighbouring country, where infrastructure demand especially in electricity capacity must be improved. Moreover, there is an opportunity to sell excess electricity to Thailand.
"KK Power has officially been granted the permission by the n government to carry out a feasibility study to invest in power plants in ," he said.
The new capacity in will help Ratch achieve the 2016 goal to raise the capacity to 7,800 megawatt.
